If you wish to submit names of your family or friends who have died in the past year, please fill them on the form in the Narthex or submit their names to the parish office. A candle will be prepared for each of the deceased and if you wish you can donate £1 for the candle. If you wish to submit names of your loved ones who have died in the last year for prayers during the month of November. Please take the envelope home and return them in the box in the narthex.
PRAYING FOR VOCATIONS
The month of November is dedicated to praying for all vocations and particularly to the Priesthood and Religious life. We welcome Douglas Grantham and Filip Gronkiewizc seminarians from Oscott College who will share their vocation story at the weekend Masses for Christ the King. They are both seminarians for Birmingham Archdiocese.

DEANERY ALTAR SERVERS DAY
All altar servers from around our Deanery are invited here to St Joseph’s on Saturday 29th November (10.30am-3.30pm) for a day where we will come together to share experiences, listen to one another, learn more about the ministry of serving at the altar, grow in faith and enjoy good company and a meal together. It would be good to have a good turn-out from our own parish! Please let Edd, or Fr Naz know if you can come.
YOUTH GROUP WEEKEND
To celebrate World Youth weekend, we would like to invite all young people and the youth of the parish to our special 11am mass on Sunday 23rd November. The mass will be focusing on Pope Leo’s message to the youth for peace and will have lots of choice by and involvement of young people. As part of the celebration, all young people are also welcome to join the youth group on Friday 21st, 6-7:30pm where we will be making and installing peace doves and preparing for the Mass..

WALK WITH ME MAGAZINE
The Advent Issue is out and, in the Narthex, – For Sale at £1.50.
NEW MCENNIS ROOM CURTAINS
have been put up this week to enhance the space, with the objective, alongside the new carpet, of increasing the sound absorption in the room. Thanks go to one of our parishioners who encouraged it and gave an extremely generous donation to fund the cost of the curtain tracks and curtains..
CHRISTMAS CRIB FESTIVAL 13-14 December
This year, to help us to remember the true meaning of Christmas, we will be having the Christmas Crib festival again. See the posters around the church for details. BUT... we will need volunteers to be in the church to make sure that the cribs are safe. A sign-up sheet will be put in the narthex in due course.
MARY AND JOSEPH’S JOURNEY AROUND MALVERN
Throughout Advent, (from 30th November) Mary and Joseph (figures) will be travelling around the parish enroute to Bethlehem, and we will be looking for families to host them overnight. The idea is that they will only spend 24 hours with each family and we need to begin to work out with fellow parishioners who you can collect or take Mary and Joseph and how we can pass on to each other. The figures are robust and suitable for families. The sign-up sheet will be in the narthex in due course.
