For Prayer with the Word of God. Let us pray that praying with the Word of God be nourishment for our lives and a source of hope in our communities, helping us to build a more fraternal and missionary Church.

For the Sick and Housebound of St Joseph’s Parish: Clare Gray, Anne Wiseman, Anne-Marie Elder and Roslyn La Ferla. We include all those in hospitals, nursing homes & their own homes. Our Lady, health of the sick, pray for them. Amen.

DAY OF PEACE
This Sunday is Day of Peace. In a world that often feels fragmented the International Day of Peace serves as a vital reminder of our shared humanity. Peace isn’t just the absence of conflict; it’s about the presence of understanding, empathy and cooperation.
OCTAVE OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
From 18th to 25th January the world is observing the Week for Prayer for Christian Unity. Different denominations come together in spirit, setting aside division to pray for a more visible fellowship. Prayer Meetings Monday to Friday 19th to 24th: Week of Prayer with prayer gatherings in the churches listed below at the times indicated. These are regular church prayer meeting to which all are invited:

CHRISTIAN UNITY DAY 25th JANUARY 4.00pm
Unity Service at Holy Trinity Church, at the end of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, when the preacher will be Reverend Liz Harris, Superintendent Minister of the South Worcestershire Methodist Circuit. There will be a “pop-up/scratch choir open to all, with a practice in the afternoon at 3pm. 150TH ANNIVERSARY UPDATE
Mary Taylor will be speaking at 6pm Mass this Saturday 17th January and 11am Mass next Sunday 25th January with an update about our 150th anniversary celebrations. One of the plans is a display of photos. If you have any pictures of events or masses at St Joseph's, please could you email digital copies to 150stjosephs@gmail.com or leave physical copies in an envelope in the Narthex, which I will scan and return to you.

THE GREAT AWAKENING

SACRED HEART & ST CATHERINE OF ALEXANDRIA, DROITWICH
This church in our deanery has beautiful and nationally significant mosaics which have now been fully restored following a lottery grant.
