MASS INTENTIONS
We are running low for Mass Offerings for the months of August and September. Since we have visiting priests, these offerings can be of great support to them. The diocese recommends a £10.00 donation for a Mass Offering. Mass Intention envelopes are in the narthex and can be put into the offertory collections at weekend Masses.
GET READY FOR "DEEP CLEAN WEEK’
Monday 14th to Saturday 19th September
As part of the preparations for the 150th Anniversary events in October, an extra special clean and polish of the church is being planned. The Parish Maintenance Committee is arranging for a specialist high level clean of the hard-to-reach areas of the church, carpet cleaning to some rooms, and repainting to some areas. As part of this work extra one-off help will be needed from volunteers to boost the normal Holy Duster Teams and to assist in facilitating the operations by helping to move chairs / furniture and generally ‘lending a hand’ where possible. More details of exactly what will be required will become clearer nearer the time but for the moment PLEASE can everyone consider if they would be willing and available to
assist, even for just an hour or two on one day only would be great and put their names down on the contact list of potential helpers (available in the Narthex) or let Fr. Naz know you would be willing to help. Many thanks from your Parish Maintenance Committee.
PREPARATION FOR SACRAMENTS OF RECONCILIATION AND EUCHARIST
This is a wonderful journey in faith which the children make with their parents. Application forms for children in year 3 or above in September, are now in the Narthex. Please return completed to Carol Ann Harnett c/o the office at St Joseph's church as soon as possible or by 1st September at the latest..
