For the Sick and Housebound of St Joseph’s Parish: Clare Gray, Anne Wiseman, Anne-Marie Elder. We include all those in hospitals, nursing homes & their own homes. Our Lady, health of the sick, pray for them. Amen.

FIRST HOLY SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMES FOR 2026
FIRST CONFESSION AND FIRST HOLY COMMUNION programme will start on Tuesday 23rd September at 5pm until 6.30pm. Family Meeting - Introduction to Parents in the Church/Children's introduction meeting in the hall.
CONFIRMATION PROGRAME
The first Confirmation Session will be Monday 29th September at 5pm with parents and children.
ADULT FORMATION: JOURNEY IN FAITH
This year the adult formation for those wishing to find out more about Catholic teaching and possibly be received into the Church, will be done over two options in the Aldwyn Room.
Option A on Sundays 12.30-1.30 pm
Option B Fridays 7pm to 8pm.
All parishioners are welcome to join in one of the options when they can.
Option A: 5th October: Session 1: God the Son: Who is Jesus Christ and why did the Father send His Son? // 19th October: Session 2: The Church; the Mission of the Body of Christ on earth.
Option B: 10th October: Session 1: God the Son: Who is Jesus Christ and why did the Father send His Son? // 24th October: Session 2: The Church; the Mission of the Body of Christ on earth
PARISH MAGAZINE
The Summer Supplement is now out, shorter than the usual magazine but still packed with goodies so be sure to get your copy. 50 pence a copy voluntary contribution.
MASS ON THE HILLS
A word of thanks to you all who braved to support Mass on the Hills on Sunday, 14th September. The service sheet was put together by the One World Group. The inclusion of the Rev. Becky Elliot was a great mark of working together with other churches in Malvern. She gave a beautiful reflection under very difficult weather conditions. Please find attached the reflection she shared at Mass. Let me hope that those of you who attended have recovered from the rain. A lot has been learned for future occasions in case of foreseen uncertain conditions.
CRAFTERNOON
New club to be run by Alice Kerby – Once a month in the McEnnis Room from 2pm to 5pm – Dates as follows: 11th October, 8th November, 13th December, 17th January and 14th February. Bring along whatever you are working on - knitting, embroidery, painting etc. Bring a nibble to share.
NEW ST JOE’S YOUTH GROUP
NEW ST JOE’S YOUTH GROUP starts every other Friday in term time, 6 pm-7.30 pm in the McEnnis Room. Dates: 12th & 26th September 10th & 24th October and the 7th &21st November and the 5th &19th December. For school years 6-10. (ages 10-15). We are also looking for young volunteers for the Youth Group - this could be part of your DofE volunteering. School year 10 upwards. (age 14 onwards). JUBILEE 2025 – PILGRIMS OF HOPE
Talk by Prof. David McLoughlin on “Christian Hope” on 18th September 2025 at 7pm at St George’s Parish Centre, Worcester. There is also a talk entitled “You are Called” to be given by our former parish priest, Mgr. Pat Kilgarriff, at 7pm on 3rd December 2025.
MISSION MALAWI: July 16/17 - 30/31 2026
July 16th/17th – 30th/31st 2026. Will you be over 18 by July 26? Would you like to take part in a Mission trip to Africa? Can you step out of your comfort zone for the adventure of a lifetime? Mission Malawi - An opportunity to experience a new culture, serve those living in extreme poverty and to broaden your experience of faith and mission. A chance to better understand the impact of climate change and learn firsthand about sustainable farming. Teach the most incredible learners in schools and support the health and feeding projects ran by the Kenelm Youth Trust. Register your interest with the Parish Youth Team Leaders.
