YEAR C Book - Volume 2

21st – 22nd JUNE 2025 – Parish Mass Book Page number 83

Pope’s Prayer Intention for June

That the world might grow in compassion. Let us pray that each one of us may find consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus and, from his Heart, learn to have compassion on the world.

Please Pray

  • For the Sick and Housebound of St Joseph’s Parish: Clare Gray, Anne Wiseman, Anne-Marie Elder, Elizabeth Docker and Elizabeth Nicolls. We include all those in hospitals, nursing homes & their own homes. Our Lady, health of the sick, pray for them. Amen.

  • Please pray for Ros Teuma wife of Alf Teuma who passed away Sunday, 15th June. Alf worked here at the church for many years giving up many hours to helping us.

  • For those on the anniversary of their death: Alexander Melroy, Rosemary Foote, Louise Rutt, Stan Chetwood and Ellen Walsh.

  • For those celebrating their Wedding Anniversary: Frances & Max Mainini and Cecilia & Paul Wright.

MARCH FOR LIFE COACH

Join March for Life UK on Saturday 6th Sept in London! The right to life underpins every other right we have and without it every other right is rendered meaningless. Abortion denies the most vulnerable in our society their most basic right, the right to life, which is why this year’s theme is ‘Human Rights for All Humans’. Unite with thousands of others at this family-friendly event where we recognise the value of life from conception and stand up for all those who have been impacted by abortion. A coach will be leaving St George's Church carpark, Worcs, at 7.30am and will depart London at 5pm. Seats cost £25, payable in advance. We usually have a priest or two with us. To book a seat or for more info contact Isabel: 07773 501721 or email izzyvs@gmail.com

LIFEPATH

Approximately 600 primary school children are booked in for Lifepath week. Please come and join us for the Commissioning Service at the Priory on 22nd June at 6.30pm. You will be very welcome, and please pray for the continued planning and for the children attending as they think about their own Lifepath.

FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2026

Application forms are now available in the Narthex (Back of the church) for children who are in Year 3 or above to begin preparation for these wonderful Sacraments. Please return to the Parish Office as soon as possible. The Programme will begin in

September.

RCIA/JOURNEY IN FAITH APPLICATION FORMS IN NARTHEX

Everyone is invited to these Tuesday evening sessions on the Catholic Faith. It is a systematic journey, exploring why the Father sent His Eternal Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross, rise again and ascend into heaven by the grace of the Holy Spirit. We will explore how this is connected to the celebration of the Sacraments, and to the way we live our lives as Christians. Everyone is welcome, especially if you are not a Catholic and would like to find out more. The sessions will begin in September. Many thanks, Mrs Carol Ann Harnett MA, B.Ed B.Div

RETIREMENT OF MRS THERESE LANGFORD AS HEADTEACHER OF ST JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL

Mrs Langford will be retiring at the end of this term. She will be replaced by a leadership Team comprised of Mrs Christina Has as Executive Head and Mrs Charlotte Docker as Head of School. Both of these have worked at St Joseph’s in the past and know the scholl well and they are highly experienced. With such talent the school will be in very safe hands.
