  • The Evangelization in the city. Let us pray that in large cities often marked by anonymity and loneliness we find new ways to proclaim the Gospel, discovering creative paths to build community.

  • For the Sick and Housebound of St Joseph’s Parish: Clare Gray, Anne Wiseman, Anne-Marie Elder, John Eckersley and Irene Davis. We include all those in hospitals, nursing homes & their own homes. Our Lady, health of the sick, pray for them. Amen.

  • For those on the anniversary of their deaths: Charlie Hill, Paul Carroll, and James Walsh.

  • For those celebrating their Wedding Anniversaries: Tony & Chris Hoyle.

It's a wonderful delight to bring your child(ren) to receive the Lord in Holy Communion. Registration is now open for children in school year 3 or above. Forms are available in the Narthex or online. Please return completed application forms to Susan Van Ling c/o the parish office as soon as possible and by 20th September at the latest.

A big thank you from the Bluebells who raised £253.90 from the Cake Sale for the Prayer Garden and resources. The group is Meeting at 10.30am on Saturday 22nd August. Please come along for a cuppa.

The Outreach Project of the (former) Malvern Book Co-operative are collecting books to supplement the library at HMP Hewell, a men's prison in Worcestershire. We would welcome donations of spare books or purchases from charity shops.

Suggested genres are adventure, thrillers, sport, and celebrities (avoiding anything with explicit violence or misogyny). Children's books that fathers can read with their children. Please place any donations in the box just inside the main entrance, they will be collected on the 6th of September. Thank you, Peter Hardman.

At the end of Masses this weekend, the ONE WORLD GROUP will be collecting signatures for a CAFOD petition about the global debt crisis which is causing terrible suffering for our sisters and brothers around the world. Please stop a minute to add your support. We all need to help to build a fairer world.

Heritage Open Day 12noon-5pm, Saturday 12th September - Come and see the wonderfully restored and nationally important mosaics in this deanery church. Tickets and booking are NOT required. There will be tea and cake available in the hall throughout this event.

Saturday 6th September 2026

The annual Pilgrimage Mass at Harvington Hall, Shrine of the English Martyrs, will take place on Sunday 6 September, at 3pm. This year's principal celebrant will be His Excellency Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía, Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain, assisted by Archbishop Bernard Longley. Free parking for all pilgrims: arrive in good time so that you can enjoy a picnic, visit the house and go to confession (1:45pm-2.30pm). Free timed tours of Harvington Hall, which can be booked on arrival at the Hall's courtyard. Visitors are asked to bring their own chairs and a packed lunch. All are warmly invited to join this special diocesan pilgrimage and celebration of the witness of the English Martyrs at this historic shrine.

12noon, Saturday 3rd October 2026

All altar servers from the Archdiocese are invited to attend (wearing albs / cassock & cotta) this annual Mass at St Chad’s Cathedral. This year the celebrant is Bishop Timothy Menezes. A sign-up sheet is in the sacristy. Arrive by 11am to vest in the Grimshaw Room. Bring a picnic as refreshments after the Mass are limited this year due to ongoing work in cathedral crypt.

The Well is recruiting a new part-time cook to join the kitchen team of our Christian community cafe. Deadline for applications: 2pm Friday 4th September.
