About This Week's Mass

SECOND SUNDAY AFTER THE NATIVITY

3RD- 4th January 2026- Parish Mass Book number 1116

Pope’s Prayer Intention for JANUARY

  • For Prayer with the Word of God. Let us pray that praying with the Word of God be nourishment for our lives and a source of hope in our communities, helping us to build a more fraternal and missionary Church.

Please Pray

  • For the Sick and Housebound of St Joseph’s Parish: Clare Gray, Anne Wiseman, Anne-Marie Elder and Roslyn La Ferla. We include all those in hospitals, nursing homes & their own homes. Our Lady, health of the sick, pray for them. Amen.

  • For those on the anniversary of their death: John Rees, Beryl Gaunt, Holly Robson and Same Moore.

A VOTE OF THANKS FROM FR NAZ

A big thank you to all those who made the celebration of Christmas such a prayerful and inspiring journey. It all started with a number of people attending the weekly Advent reflections at the four churches of our cluster. Then the organisers and providers of Advent Soup lunches as well as the those who put in so much to organise the Crib Display weekend, the Carol Service and the journey of Mary and Joseph into as many homes as possible. The team of cleaners and flower arrangers were all focussed in making sure the church is conducive to prayer. Think of the time spend to have the Christmas tree decorated. Musicians, altar servers and all who signed up to render several services at Masses. It just took the hands and time of so many of our community to make Christmas a fitting celebration of our faith. On a personal note, a very big thank you for all the Christmas cards donations and the generous Christmas Offerings..

THE JUBILEE YEAR OF PILGRIMS OF HOPE
