MARCH FOR LIFE COACH
Join March for Life UK on Saturday 6th Sept in London! The right to life underpins every other right we have and without it every other right is rendered meaningless. Abortion denies the most vulnerable in our society their most basic right, the right to life, which is why this year’s theme is ‘Human Rights for All Humans’. Unite with thousands of others at this family-friendly event where we recognise the value of life from conception and stand up for all those who have been impacted by abortion. A coach will be leaving St George's Church carpark, Worcs, at 7.30am and will depart London at 5pm. Seats cost £25, payable in advance. We usually have a priest or two with us. To book a seat or for more info contact Isabel: 07773 501721 or email izzyvs@gmail.com
TEA IN THE GARDEN (INDOORS IF WET)
You are warmly invited to join us for tea, cakes and social time in our garden on Sunday 29th June from 2pm. Liz and Chris Burger at 120 Lower Howsell Road, WR14 1DL
THURSDAY EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
We are still desperately needing people to help with the day of Eucharistic Adoration each Thursday. We have lost a lot of people through sickness and holidays etc. and there are very few people to call on now. If anyone can help for
perhaps half an hour to an hour each week or even only occasionally to cover holidays etc, please call or text Emily Vaughan-Spruce on 07858048095. Thank you
ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
Sunday 6th July, 4pm, in the McEnnis Room. Please come to this important meeting where we hear from Fr Naz and the PAC about the past year and the plans for our parish into the future. Several PAC members will be retiring, and we would like to invite parishioners to consider joining the PAC. Nomination forms will be in the narthex over the next few weeks. If you have questions about the PAC or what being a member involves, please ask Fr Naz or Edd Hogan. An agenda and supporting documents that the APM will cover will be available shortly online and a printed reference copy will be available to view in church.
60TH YEAR OF ORDINATION
Roger Watson will be celebrating his 60th year of ordination as a Church of
England Minister on 15th June at St Leonard’s Church of the Beauchamp Community. It will start with an Ecumenical Service Evensong at 3pm followed by tea. A sign-up sheet is available in the Narthex for catering purposes.
PARISH MAGAZINE
Copy Day for the next edition is Sunday 29th June. All contributions welcome, especially if you haven't written for us before. Please send copy to Margaret Rank merank@btinternet.com or leave in an envelope in the narthex.
THE THURSDAY GROUP
will be meeting on Thursday the 5th of June for a Falconry display by Luke Mammott in St. Joseph's Primary school playground. The display begins at 2.00pm & finishes at 3.00pm so we need to meet in the McEnnis room, earlier than usual, before 1.45pm so that we can go into the playground at 1.50pm. Given that the weather is changeable I suggest you wear something warm, if it rains, we will be in the school hall. Please remember to bring your menu & money (£22) for the July lunch at the Golf Club in an envelope with your name on it. We will return to the McEnnis room for tea & cakes when the display is over. I think that the display will be very impressive as I have seen Luke perform on TV.
