ONE WORLD GROUP

Since the 1970s, the parish One World Group (OWG) has worked with partners in places like South America, India, and Africa, and has also supported local charities and schools. Over the past few months, we have been working to expand what we do, and we currently have 15 active members. Our work is inspired by Jesus’s example and by Catholic Social Teaching, including the messages of recent Popes who remind us that building God’s Kingdom starts here on Earth, especially by caring for the poor. OWG has now created four subgroups focusing on these themes:

  1. Community & outreach

  2. Peace & reconciliation

  3. Poverty & inequality

  4. The environment

If you share these hopes for a fairer, kinder world and would like to join the One World Group or p articipate in any of the subgroups, please contact Helen

CAR PARK SIGNS AND GATES

We have seen an increase in the number of cars parking in the church/school car park when the users are not connected to either school or church. We have now installed additional signs to remind people that the car park is private property, and we have also begun to close and lock the car park gates at night to maintain the integrity of the car park for use by school and church users.
