REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Pope’s Prayer Intention for November
For the prevention of suicide. Let us pray that those who are tempted to commit suicide may find the support, care and love they need in their community, and be open to the beauty of life.
Please Pray
For the Sick and Housebound of St Joseph’s Parish: Clare Gray, Anne Wiseman, Anne-Marie Elder and Roslyn La Ferla. We include all those in hospitals, nursing homes & their own homes. Our Lady, health of the sick, pray for them. Amen.
For those on the anniversary of their death: Joseph Mgungwe, David Ellison and Geevarghese Koshy.

RCIA - ADULT FORMATION: JOURNEY IN FAITH
Friday, 14th November 7.00-8.30pm Introduction to Sacred Scripture and how it’s used in Church. In the Aldwyn Room.
PARISH MASS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE DIED IN THE PAST YEAR
will be celebrated at 7pm on Thursday, 30th November. If you wish to submit names of your family or friends who have died in the past year, please fill them on the form in the Narthex or submit their names to the parish office. A candle will be prepared for each of the deceased and if you wish you can donate £1 for the candle. These candles will be blessed and lit at the Mass of the day, and you will be asked to carry them to the sanctuary during the Mass. They can be taken home after Mass.
VOCATIONS MONTH: NOVEMBER
In our Deanery the month of November is dedicated to praying for “Vocations”. There will be a 24-hour Deanery Day of Prayer at St George’s on Friday 14th to Saturday 15th November 2025 as follows:
10am Holy Mass followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament till 11.45 am.
12 Noon: Mass (anointing of the sick) followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament till 5.45 pm.
6.00pm: Holy Mass followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament till 10.30pm.
8.00pm to 9 pm – Praise and Worship
10.30 pm to 11.30 pm – Holy Hour in Malayalam followed by silent adoration till midnight.
12 Midnight; Holy Mass followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament till (15th November) Saturday 12 Midday
Midday: Benediction 12.30 pm Saturday Vigil Mass for Sunday
PAC MEETING
Our PAC will meet on Monday 10th November at 7pm. If you have items for the PAC to review or discuss, please let Nazzarena know in the parish office as soon as possible so that they can be included in the agenda. Thank you.
REMEMBERING THE DEAD IN NOVEMBER
A time to pray and give thanks for all those who have been such an important part of our life but are sadly no longer with us. Envelopes containing a sheet of paper in them are available in the narthex for anyone wishing to submit names of their loved ones for prayers during the month of November. Please take these envelope home and return them in the November Dead Box. Please deposit the list in the basket in front of the altar. If you wish to enclose a donation, the offering you give will generate Masses for Holy souls which will be spread out through the coming year.
DEANERY ALTAR SERVERS DAY
All altar servers from around our Deanery are invited here to St Joseph’s on Saturday 29th November (10.30am-3.30pm) for a day where we will come together to share experiences, listen to one another, learn more about the ministry of serving at the altar, grow in faith and enjoy good company and a meal together. It would be good to have a good turn-out from our own parish! Please let Edd, or Fr Naz know if you can come.
CAFOD NOTICE
We have had a problem with the postage of the Cheques to CAFOD for the recent Family Fast Collection. They have been lost in the Post. Any questions please contact the Parish office.

NOTE FROM CHRIS PARK – PARISH TREASURER
We have received £11,283.69 from HMRC for the last financial year. Thanks to all Gift Aiders and to Tina Slevin for all the hard work she has put in sorting this out. Any taxpayer who wants to become a Gift Aider please contact the Parish Office to get the relevant forms. It doesn't cost you a penny! We have received a legacy of £10,229.25 from the estate of Pam and Richard Taylor RIP. We fondly remember them.
